The Theun-HInboun Hydropower Project will have been operational for 20 years on 31 March 2018. 
During that time THPC has:
- Generated over 36,000 Gigawatt hours of electricity.
That is more electricity than was consumed in Laos from 1998 to 2016.
- Invested over US$113 million in social and environmental programmes
The company has built more than 15 schools and 15 health centres in the project area
- Contributed over US$509 million to Lao government finances
In addition, taxes paid locally have greatly assisted the development of Khounkham and Hinboun districts
THPC remains dedicated to clean renewable energy production, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of its facilities, and working with local people and administrations to encourage sustainable human development with environmental protection.
THPC was awarded the Labour Medal in 2011 in
recognition of its contribution to national development
