Vientiane, February 10th 2022

On February 10, 2022, at the Khounkham District Administration Office, Khammouane Province, the Government of Lao PDR awarded a Class III Development Medal to Theun-Hinboun Power Co., Ltd (THPC) in recognition of its contribution to the construction of Khoun Kham Bridge (New Nam Hai Bridge) with a total construction cost of US $ 1,131,685. The Ceremony was attended by Mr. Vongphet Vongphet Chitpanya, Khammuan Province Deputy Party Secretary, Mr. Robert Allen Jr, THPC Managing Director, Khounkham District Governor and the district high ranking officials, THPC Deputy Managing Director and key staff.

The new bridge was officially opening in March 2021 and has greatly improved transportation and tourism business in Khounkham district.

On April 19, 2021, at Ministry of Finance, Vientiane Capital, Theun-Hinboun Power Co., Ltd received a Ministerial Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Finance, awarded by Mr. Bounchom Oubonpasueth, Minister of Finance, and received by Mr. Robert Allen Jr, THPC General Manager.

Throughout the THPC operations, the company has fulfilled its obligations continuously and regularly.
THPC has regularly pay its tax, reported its tax accurately and timely, no outstanding tax and no penalty due to late tax payments. For such outstanding achievements, the Ministry of Finance has awarded a Category I Certificate of Appreciation to the Company in recognition of its achievements and merits.

People in Khounkham District have a new bridge

An official opening ceremony for New Nam Hai Bridge (Khounkham Bridge) is taken place on 9th March 2021 at Ban Nakham, Khounkham District,

Khammuan Province under the chair of Mr. Vanxay Phongsavanh, Khammuan Province Governor.OpeningSession

Khammuan Province Department of Public Works and Transportation says that the budget for the New Nam Hai Bridge is funded by Theun-Hinboun Power Company Limited and its shareholders which cost over US$ 1.13 million. The new bridge will improve the transportation in Khounkham district and will also boost the tourism business in the area. The construction of the bridge started in early May 2019 and complete in the end of February 2021. The bridge is made from iron girder I shape with reinforced concrete for the bridge surface which can load 43 tons, the length of the bridge is 50.6 m and the width is 7.5 m. The Road No. 8 Construction Enterprise and Tay Truong Son Construction Sole Co., Ltd is the main contractor of the project.

Theun-Hinboun Power Co., Ltd. Contributes US $ 28,000 to Khammuan Provincial Hospital through the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Energy and Mines for the procurement of one set of kidney dialysis equipment. The handover ceremony was held on 22 February 2021 at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, attended by Dr. Khamani Inthirath, Minister of Energy and Mines, attended by Dr. Khamani Inthirath, Minister of Energy and Mines; and Assoc. Dr. Bounkong Sihavong, Minister of Health.

Later, on 29th March 2021, a handover ceremony of kidney dialysis equipment was held at Khammouane Provincial Hospital with the participation of Mr. Vanxay Phongsavanh, Governor of Khammouane Province; and both the Ministers of Energy and Mines and the Minister of Health.

The Theun-Hinboun Power Company (THPC) and its major shareholder, Electricité du Laos Generation (EDL-Gen) hosted their Charity Golf Tournament on 23rd Jan 2021 at Vientiane’s Lao Country Club to raise funds for infrastructure improvements at rural schools.

The amateur tournament is organised each yIMG 0407ear with the assistance of the Lao Golf Federation to raise funds for specific charities, with previous recipients including those affected by flooding in southern provinces of Laos, the Thongphong School for Blind Children and the Lao Chess Federation.

All expenses involved with the golf event were covered by THPC, which then charged each participant 600,000 kip to join the tournament. The revenue collected from the golfers will be used to improve infrastructures of Ban Nam Kui Primary School, Longxan District, Xaysomboun Province.
