THPC invests in its Lao personnel, looking to attract and develop talent that can help the company perform to its maximum potential. The company employs professionals from a wide range of fields including electrical and mechanical engineers, maintenance and operations experts, health and safety officers, social workers, medical staff, environmental scientists, agricultural extension agents and legal and administrative staff. Most personnel are based at the project site in Khammouane province, with others at offices in Vientiane and Lak Sao, or in project villages.

The Theun-Hinboun Power Company is owned by three companies: EDL-Gen Public Company of Laos with 60%, and GMS International Pte., Limited and Nordic Hydropower AB, each with a 20% stake. THPC currently employs about 120 people, at the main project compound in Khammouane and at the head office in Vientiane. Over 99% of personnel are Lao.

The company is dedicated to developing Lao hydropower resources in the most efficient and sustainable way to help the country expand its development possibilities.
